Moments forever
#QueerHistoryIsNow
For LGBT+ History Month 2021, we stand before you proud. Peaceful in mind, body and spirit.
This year’s theme for LGBT+ History month was mind, body and spirit. We present to you here our moments of peace, love, joy and hope, where we are making history now. 2020 was a difficult year for the Queer Ethnic Minority community, but we stood beside each other and supported each other to find our way back to better days. While we are not out of the woods yet, we hope that these wonderful moments may bring some brightness into your month.
“Whether its dancing, boxing, performing or kayaking, keeping myself active and connected to things I love helps me cope with the day to day stress we live in. Boxing is especially important, as it is one of the few spaces where my fierceness can come out and is encouragedHaving a network of friends (such as Glitter), nurturing that spark. Fighting for what I believe in and what makes me smile is extremely important for my wellbeing. ” – Thania Acarón, Puerto Rican dance movement therapist based in WalesPhoto credit (top left): Leah Barfield
